AQUA SHELVES

Aqua shelves, also referred to as wavy shelves, were inspired by the Aqua Tower in Chicago. Like the Aqua Tower, our shelves represent the connection between the human and physical, by perfectly blending into your unique space. The result is an elegant integration of form and function.

Materials

Aqua shelves are built with locally sourced, solid hardwood. We recommend Ash wood for its strength, durability, beauty and light-color that readily accepts a wide range of stains .

We utilize Rubio Monocoat’s revolutionary, plant-based, hardwax oil wood finish. Rubio Monocoat provides a durable, beautiful finish that is 0% VOC and wear-, water- and heat-resistant.

Process

Designed based on your space and vision, each set of wavy shelves are modeled to beautifully simulate waves both horizontally and vertically.

1. We work with you to put together an optimal design and color scheme whether you want the shelves painted or stained
2. We create a scale model for your review and feedback
3. We can provide you with samples of the same wood species, in order to make sure the finish is exactly what you want
4. We construct and finish the shelves, per the agreed to specifications
5. We design and build a hanger system specifically for your shelves and the type of wall on which they will be hung. Our hangers are constructed from high-quality, cold-rolled steel. They’re built to last.
6. We install the shelves in your space or we can ship the shelves and hanger system to you, so you can install them yourself.
